Shoes or heels are very important for pole dancing. Pole heels are just not footwear; they are a tool. Pole heels are necessary equipment that adds comfort and facilitates pole dancing.

The first part is learning how to ace your pole dancing and taking it to the next level, is by taking complete advantage of those heels. You need to work and understand how your heels work. Once you become acquainted with the ways of your heels, you get a grasp of how to use them effectively to dance flawlessly.

Pole heels make movements easier. It helps re-define your posture and facilitate better dancing. The trick is to point out your toes and tighten your core. This doesn’t happen overnight but with each practice, you can get closer to perfecting this. Padded Lining and Curved Insole

The Curved Insole helps protect your toes when doing floorwork like rolls, drags, swipes, etc. The curved insole prevents your toes from getting stubbed by the floor. The added benefit of this feature is that it helps keep your toes in place with little effort. Too much bent or hanging toes doesn’t look good and increases the chances of getting stubbed.

The padded lining is to increase comfort and avoid fatigue due to long hours of dancing. It provides cushiony comfort and helps support the whole leg.


  • Angled Heel

The angled heel supports the back of your foot, provides balance, and avoid any sorts of cramps, fatigue, or discomfort that might happen if you were to wear regular heels. Pole dancing heels are designed to eradicate any sort of discomforts, injuries, or strains on your overall leg, hips, and joints that might happen if using regular street heels.


  • One-piece Shank

Although it’s a weird name, this feature provides the needed support for the foot arch. It helps the dances bend down and get back up all very easily. The backbone of the entire heel, One-piece shank helps maintain balance without letting your toes touch down.


  • Angled Toebox

Also, called the platform, it is where the front of the foot, rests. This feature makes performing floor work easy as it helps easily glide, sweep, and slide backward on the floor. However, this is not possible in street heels.


  • Curved Outsole

This is a huge feature in the anatomy that helps make several steps of the floor work and balancing easier. Just make sure you point your toes. This takes a little time and adjustments, but eventually, you’ll get there!
